San Jose Auction Properties

Over this great sunny San Jose weekend, while most people were enjoying their backyard pools and bbq's I had the pleasure of looking through many different San Jose investment properties. All were San Jose bank owned properties and many had been on the market for well over 100 days. Some had been well kept homes and other look to have been rentals to an untidy Biker Gang.

As many people that are still buying homes here in San Jose already know the market here is still thriving. Granted the Million Dollar San Jose homes have sold at a snails pace in recent months but they are still selling. Many people are starting to dive into the San Jose investment properties with banks willing to unload properties at a discounted rate. One way that they do this is through Auction.com.

The website Auction.com has been helping banks market and sell their San Jose bank owned properties since 1990. They have never been as busy as they are right now though. If you look at their website you should see that San Jose has about 26 different properties that will go into their April 26th auction. This auction will be held at the San Mateo County Event Center- Fiesta Hall 2495 S Delaware, San Mateo, CA 94403. I am really excited for this event as it will be my first time attending such an auction.

One thing that has really struck me as odd is the properties starting bid price points and how far they differ from the current MLS asking prices. I know that the banks probably have some type of proxy option but they do not give this number to the public.
